Materials

The traditional violin construction materials have been Maple and
Spruce . In Viola and Cello construction Poplar has also been used.
The properties which these materials exhibit lend themselves
excellently to the construction of the violin family of instruments and
are responsible for the tone character and colour of the music so
familiar to us today.
